イラクのある地域でマリーンの戦車2台と装甲車5台と行動中、敵の戦車部隊の待ち伏せにあい、戦車2台とも大破、装甲車3台大破し残りの装甲車はビビって離脱と笑いながら話し、ＣＪは持っていた対戦車ロケット『ドラゴン』で敵戦車のキャタピラ目掛けて打ち込み、敵戦車４台を撃破した。後の功績もあり、中尉になった。
しかし、あの時の出来事と昇格の件について、今でも彼らはもめると言っていた）
